Natural hydrogen experts step up

We are thrilled to introduce two more of the keynote speakers for this year's Australian Natural Hydrogen Conference.

It’s a timely announcement with the deadline for earlybird registrations ending next Monday (July 15). The inaugural national conference is taking place from 29th to 31st October, 2024, in the stunning Adelaide Hills.

The latest confirmed speakers add an international flavour to the event.

Dr Mengli Zhang will update attendees on the ongoing work of the Colorado School of Mines Industry Consortium on Natural Hydrogen. Ian Munro, CEO of Helios Aragon, will share the latest developments on their plans for natural hydrogen exploration in Spain.

Already confirmed as keynote speakers are Lionel Esteban (Principal Petrophysicist at CSIRO) and Emaleena Baker (Strategy Advisor at Australian Gas Infrastructure Group).

Attendees, in person or virtually, can purchase their tickets at a cheaper rate up to July 15.

Our confirmed speakers are leaders in their fields.

Dr. Mengli Zhang

Co-Director of the Center for Gravity, Electrical, and Magnetic Studies at the Colorado School of Mines

Dr Zhang focuses her research on geologic hydrogen and critical minerals for clean energy. She co-founded the world's first industry-supported geologic hydrogen consortium with colleagues from CSM and USGS. Dr. Zhang was an invited speaker on geologic hydrogen at the 2024 AAAS Annual Meeting, where geologic hydrogen was highlighted as one of the 10 science breakthroughs of 2023 by Science Magazine.

Ian Munro

CEO of Helios Aragon, a Singapore-based explorer for natural hydrogen

Under his leadership, Helios Aragon is set to drill Europe’s first natural hydrogen well in Aragon, Spain, appraising the Monzon Field discovered in the 1960s.

Ian's career has involved stints with ExxonMobil, Woodside, and Oil Search across the UK, Norway, Australia, and PNG. At Woodside, he led the commercial team to the final investment decision for the Pluto LNG Project in 2007.

Join us in Adelaide for a groundbreaking event focused on a much sought after new energy source. Secure your spot now and be part of the conversation driving Australia's energy transition!
