Downer to feature at hydrogen event

Former Foreign Minister Alexander Downer has confirmed he will take one of the high-profile keynote speaker slots at Australia’s first national natural hydrogen conference later this month.

Mr Downer, the chairman of pioneering Australian natural hydrogen explorer Gold Hydrogen, will speak on the first day of the Australian Natural Hydrogen Conference, from October 29-31 in the Adelaide Hills.

Mr Downer is one of the country’s best-known politicians and diplomats, a former leader of the Liberal Party, Minister for Foreign Affairs and High Commissioner to the UK.

He joins a world-class program that has been put together for a deep-dive into a new energy source that could have a significant benefit to Australia, and the world’s, decarbonization efforts.

Mr Downer has strong views on the geo-political situation and its impact on energy supply as it relates to decarbonization.
